It was a gorgeous day out to the Suffolk countryside to @butleymillsstudios , to see the bronze pour for our bronze workshop that both current and alumni MASS artists are involved in. Thank you to our amazing hosts @kabir_hussain_artist & Vicky from @walnut_works . We also had the chance to explore several artist studios and their on site gallery. A magical day!

Resting in King’s Lynn after a busy week and trying not to worry about the overgrown front garden but be mindful of the colours and the little deer - they don’t eat Lupins apparently 🌸
Had a fantastic day out in Suffolk @walnut_works seeing the bronze pour. Look at those colours and flames - it’s so intense!
I’ve made some new sculptures for bronze casting and had a little sneak back to @mass.sculpture to take part in the workshops to make it all happen. It’s my third time and it’s been really productive for me - I love the process of transformation. I’m really looking forward to seeing the final pics when they’re all cleaned up - still lots to do after this.
With thanks to @kabir_hussain_artist and @vckyhussain for a memorable day
Also thanks to @ali_darke for the lift there! And @lornapridmore for the lift to Woodbridge! Couldn’t have done it without them

New show at @bothgalleryldn
Last night we visited the private view for Walnut Works 2025/26 Guest Artists exhibition.
The show brings together new bronze works by Denise De Cardova, Clare Jarrett, Juliet Lockhart and Laura Wilson.
The four artists worked directly in wax, embracing the lost-wax process and the unpredictable nature of burn-outs to create small, intimate bodies of sculpture. Their pieces draw on personal memory, historical references, craft traditions, folklore and invented narratives.
All works beautifully realised in bronze while in last years residency program at @walnut_works , Butley Mills Studio
The exhibition is open to the public this weekend:
17th – 19th April, 12–4pm

A great turn out for the end of show event. It was good to hear all the artists talk about their their processes and how the work related to the show title ‘Making Ground’. Thank you @andrewekins for curating and organising this wonderful show.
We enjoyed Veronica Ryan’s PV last night - Multiple Conversations at the Whitechapel Art Gallery. We loved the floor based sculpture and were inspired by the lack of plinths. Kabir had a great time meeting up with his friend Trevor from Chelsea School of Art MA days. @whitechapelgallery@mathisontrevor@vero.ryan@butleymillsstudios
Our friend Kevin Jones , collector and art aficionado .and Vicky standing next to an Andrew Ekins sculpture at the ‘Making Ground’ exhibition at Thameside Gallery. Thank you Andrew for curating the show and Caroline for the hospitality. It was wonderful to have Kabir’s sculptures included and meet the other artists and guests. @andrewekins@thamessidestudiosse18@kabir_hussain_artist@vckyhussain@butleymillsstudios
We hope everyone can get to the PV Friday 27th March 6-9pm. Otherwise the Thameside Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday 12-5pm. Closed on Easter Sunday.
