The artists worked directly in wax and explored “burn outs”, embracing the potential of combustible material being translated into bronze. Under Conditions/No Guarantees Collective @bothgalleryldn Both Gallery, Highgate Participating Artists Chema Palacios, Donna Marie Poingdestre, Jojo Taylor, Nimisha Chandel, Shraddha Bhargava Preview: 23 April 6-8PM Open Friday–Sunday, 12–4PM 24th April - 3rd May This exhibition brings together Year One Professional Doctorate students from the University of East London. Working without fixed outcomes, the exhibition unfolds as a set of live conditions rather than a resolved display. Processes remain visible, decisions provisional, and forms subject to change. What is shown may shift. What is held may not hold. Across the duration of the exhibition, the gallery becomes a site of exposure—of time, of labour, of uncertainty. Presence is sustained, interrupted, tested. There are no stable agreements here. Only what can be carried, for now.

Last day to catch the show by @malakmattarart and @peterkennardx curated by @gabbysamara_ at @bothgalleryldn in #Highgate #London ❤️🖤🤍💚 Rooted in love, resistance and resilience - just like the native olive tree - the show captures the beauty of the land not just the horrors and injustices. The pieces say so much in a small space as the #poem by Marwan Makhoul chosen by @peterkennardx does: **** In order for me to write poetry that isn’t political I must listen to the birds and in order for me to hear the birds the warplanes must be silent **** Can’t visit the gallery? Check out their work online and read my interview with them on @thenewarab @thenewarabfeatures 🔗 in my biog #art #artexhibitions #londonart

Last 2 days of the exhibition! 🇵🇸 Open from 12-6pm @freethefilton24 @a9275e @da3m.support Whilst invigilating Malak Mattar and Peter Kennard’s exhibition ‘If the Olive Trees Knew’ at BOTH Gallery we had a visit from T, Heba and Qessar of the Filton 24. For those of you who don't know, 24 UK activists have spent up to 18 months in prison for opposing British complicity in genocide. One remains behind bars. None have received any convictions. In February Lottie, Ellie, Fatema-Zainab, Zoe and Jordan were released after 18 months in prison after a jury found them not guilty of aggravated burglary. Along with Sam, they are accused of taking action at Elbits Research and Development hub in Filton, Bristol, to stop the flow of arms from the UK to the IDF. The jury refused to convict them on the charges of criminal damage. Now, the state is appealing against this verdict and bringing them back to trial in Woolwich. Sam Corner who had remained in prison for over 600 days will face a further charge of GBH. Filton 24 retrial Monday 13th April‼️ Mobilise outside the court in Woowich From 9.30am as the 6 prepare to face the trial again. Their trial is a test case for the crackdown on solidarity for Palestine show up to support. Free the Filton 24 and Free Palestine 🇵🇸 📸 from @giusseppe_jazzi

In a London gallery, Palestinian artist @malakmattarart and British political artist @peterkennardx come together in a powerful exhibition rooted in resistance, memory and art. From Gaza to London, Malak’s work reflects grief, survival and a deep connection to her homeland — where olive trees stand as symbols of resilience despite destruction and displacement. Together, their art challenges silence, confronts injustice and reminds us that even in the darkest moments, creativity remains a form of resistance. ‘If The Olive Trees Knew’ will run until 12 April 2026 and is open Wednesday-Sunday 12-6 PM at @bothgalleryldn 🔗 Click the link in the bio to read more about the exhibition by @yanarfitness #Gaza #Palestine #London
