REFILL IS THE NEW (and better) RECYCLE ♻️
Did you know that it’s estimated less than 9% of plastic produced is actually recycled? All that waste has to go somewhere. We want to see our community honoring the resources we utilize, not sending them straight to landfill or have it winding up as pollutants in our environment.
HOW REFILLING WORKS
1. Bring your container from home and weigh it at the pay station
2. Fill container with as little or as much product as you need
3. Weigh it again, pay, and take your container back home where it belongs 🥰 🏡
Thanks for refilling at Wake! See you soon and BYOC (it means being your own container) 🫙 🧴
Send this video to someone who needs to know Charleston has a zero-waste refill store 🌊💙♻️
This song matches the vibe! Did you know spraying (fogging) for mosquitoes doesn’t just affect mosquitoes—these chemicals wipe out our pollinators and all our other beauitful bugs… and guess what… the mosquitoes are just gonna come on back and the foggers are gonna take more of your hard-earned moolah.
We’re teaming up with @natureandnurture.love and @clemson_vegetable_entomology at @wakerefill on May 31st to discuss the basics of skeeters, managing them PROPERLY, and we’ll be decorating 5-gallon buckets of DOOM! Limited to 20 people, first come first served! RSVP on our site.
We are thrilled to celebrate an early World Oceans Day with our very own Dr. Francine Kershaw as we discover how marine protected areas and the collaboration between communities, scientists, and local governments can restore the health of our oceans.

From role models to Marsh Project hat models! We thought it’d be fun to highlight some of our biggest supporters and community do-gooders to show off the latest hat drop. 💅
We’re starting with @wakerefill looking bright and chic in our “BrInG-it-BaCk” color: CLAY! Wanna match your terracotta pots? Grab a clay.
@hannahjane_official of Wake Refill is one of our best volunteers and cheerleaders and we’re honored to be one of the programs she regularly donates to! Her zero-waste refilling shop has become a weekly pit stop for us, where we refill on soaps, cleaning supplies, detergents, DEODORANT! And so much more! Yes they refill @littleseedfarm deodorant and it’s incredible! If you’re looking to greenify your home and life and support local: HEAD TO WAKE…with a refillable bottle of course.

Charleston’s first ever “IF IT’S BROKE FIX IT” Repair Fair Event hosted at Sightsee x Wake Refill!
We are gathering a group of passionate and talented volunteers to help give your well loved household items new life and maybe teach you a life skill while they’re at it. 🪡🪚🛠️👕👖
The most sustainable option is ALWAYS the one you already have. Learning the skills of repair helps us reduce waste, save money and give honor to the gifts of the earth that we utilize 🌳☀️
We are so grateful for the community members who have volunteered to share their skills with us.

“Kylie & Camryn are the sisters behind the Charleston based upcycling business Another Girlz Treasure. We started our business because we’ve always been passionate about sustainability, shopping secondhand and giving used clothes a second chance. We’re so excited to join Wake Refills Repair fair to help others in our community give their old clothing a new life too!”
Kylie and Camryn will be providing visible mending by machine to repair holes and ripped seams. They will also be bringing patches for repairs.
Thank you @anothergirlztreasure for offering to share your talents with the community in this way. 🪡🧵
If it’s broke, let’s fix it!
