25/26 Hyrox Season
It’s actually been an incredible 7 months. I’ve had some of the best training blocks, I’ve managed to PB across all formats of Hyrox and grab a 5k and 10k pb so I have zero complaints.
Cardiff however, was supposed to be the moment it all came together.
I can’t lie I’ve been so disappointed with how it went. The best 8/9 weeks of training in the lead up to it but on the day I just didn’t have it.
Very odd experience and the first time that’s really happened to me. On the day I knew if it went well I could push for that sub 80, that was the goal. A plan to execute the race differently so I could finish stronger.
But it just wasn’t there.
Basically I started out slow as planned and then got slower.
It’s just added fuel to the fire though. We will come back next season, faster, stronger and fitter than ever before. We’ll be mixing it up a bit over the summer to really develop where I’m weakest. Working with
@older_hyroxer on this and I’m so looking forward to it.
The plan for next season?
Fewer races next year (maybe) but better execution is the plan.
We’re still on target, progress is very rarely linear. We’re fitter than the times suggest, but we have to learn how to express it on the day.
You win or you learn.
Thank you
@hyroxuk you give me purpose and a reason to work on myself.
Next chapter incoming.
