So great to be doing visuals for the Salted crew with @miguelmigsmusic and @juliuspapp last Friday night! We started our journey together 22years ago and it was nice to celebrate our anniversary, with special guest Tony Humphries @tony_humphries and live performance by @lisashaw_ . Thanks to @greatnorthernsf for hosting the party. Thanks to all the Bay Area house music family for coming out to share a dance and support the scene.
@thereeldiscod and I will be taking the night off from our 22nd and Valencia “Love Your Neighbor” projection celebration tonight due to weather. We will be back on December 27th to continue our celebration on the old Social Security building from 6-10pm, weather permitting. Blessings!#projectionmapping
The first weekend of projection mapping at the old social security building on 22nd and Valencia was so much fun. Lovely meeting all the amazing people in the neighborhood. Will be back this Saturday the 13th from 6-10pm at the same location. Peace!

⚡️Just Announced! ⚡️
On October 16th, Mercury Soul’s signature fusion of DJs, classical music and immersive visuals comes to the Asian Art Museum! The evening will unfold with waves of DJ sets, opera arias, classical performance and music of traditional Chinese instruments that honor artistic traditions both ancient and new.
Sets by DJ Masonic (composer Mason Bates) and DJ Justin Reed (illmeasures Chicago) will be interspersed with works by Huang Ruo—composer of San Francisco Opera’s upcoming The Monkey King—alongside music from Verdi, de Falla, prodigy Yangfan Xu and more. The Asian Art Museum’s gorgeous architecture becomes a canvas for stunning immersive visual projections from Mark Johns in this one-night-only journey through centuries of artistic heritage. Mark Johns is back—and he’s about to take things to the next level. ✨As the wizard behind Mercury Soul’s mind-bending visuals, Mark (@vjmarkjohns ) has two decades of work in motion graphics, projection mapping, and live video installations, and he’s turned countless spaces into living, pulsing canvases.
As a longtime Mercury Soul collaborator, Mark doesn’t just design visuals—he builds entire worlds where music and image collide. Gothic arches glow, walls ripple with motion, and every corner of the space feels alive.
On November 7 at Grace Cathedral, he’s turning it up even higher. Expect the visuals to hit harder, shine brighter, and fully supercharge the night.
See you there!
