Back in March 🖤 for @adidasoriginals X @brendahashtag This installation ended up being much more complex than I thought. The biggest charcoal I could find was still way too small for something this size, and we didn’t have time to make fire and use the real charcoal from that. So I had to come up with a new solution 💡 and sometimes these things just come to me in a dream. That’s how I thought of using burned tree bark. They were bigger and had a really beautiful texture. Combined with real charcoal and other materials, the installation showcases many interesting textures and shapes, all in deep black. Floral installation for @rebekkaruetz ’s last fashion show in Berlin 🌾 „The time will come when, with elation, you will greet yourself arriving at your own door, in your own mirror.“ – Derek Walcott These few words by Derek Walcott encapsulate the essence of rebekka ruétz’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection. It is a call to the soul to encounter ourselves, not as what the world expects us to be, but as who we truly are, beyond expectations, masks and roles. The true act of liberation, says Walcott, lies not in perfection, but in the grace with which we shed the layers that separate us from the truth. This collection speaks of the moment of unmasking, when the illusion shatters and we recognise ourselves again in the raw beauty of our true selves.
