I got my first mridangam stand made back in 2008 when there was no such thing available. It became too difficult to travel with it though. So one day I walked in to @furtadosmusic in south Mumbai and I tried a few snare stands for the Mridangam. And the Pearl S 1030 just worked perfectly. It has adjustable arms and the stand itself was very sturdy. It has been the best decision so far. And it is THE ONLY stand that works, ( I have tried quite a few). And btw @pearl_drums or @pearldrumsofficial_india hasn't asked me to make this video.

If you are a performer, this is for you. It is indeed high time that performers not only know their rights but also start implementing them. Royalties and stuff come much later, first secure your basic, fundamental rights.

A simple way to compose a tihaai/korvai/ tirmaanam. To understand this you will need some basic knowledge of the carnatic system.
To know what "Yati" is, one can simply google it and understand the 6 basic Yatis or forms
You can use this approach for any taal, and how complex you would like to make it is up to your mastery and indulgence.
We certainly needed an @iimw.in for all the artists here. As Two Summ we got an opportunity to play at the showcase this year. Big shoutout to all those who came.
Thanks for video clips

Two Summ 🇮🇳 cleverly showcased complex rhythms with ease and left us with some memorable phrases during their performance at @antisocialoffline last night!
