Apple officially opened its first flagship store in Mumbai, India on 18th April.
Viveick Rajagopalan presented a collaboration of Astik Brass Band , A group performing traditional Koli Music of Mumbai and Kalarang Pratishthan ,a puneri dhol and Tasha ensemble.
The morning began with “San Aaylai Go” which is a song about
“Worshipping the Sea before starting business” followed by many such popular tunes of the Koli Community.
The evening saw a very unique collaboration of Ta Dhom
Project and Kalarang Pratishthan also featuring Aditi Koli on Saxaphone, where we performed “just bols” “ta dhom” and
“get up and dance” to the mighty beats of the Puneri Dhol.
MC Dehaati, MC Arts Lord, and MC Khoj were on rapping duties that evening.
