Directed by Conor Forrest and written by me, Mind Ripples is “La La Land meets Sound of Metal” set within Toronto’s scrappy independent arts scene. The story follows three neurodivergent artists navigating acting, music, and painting as their lives intersect in ways that create a ripple effect across the city. Because this story explores neurodivergence from Conors deeply personal perspective, it was important for us to collaborate with the Neurodivergent Change Foundation to help ground the screenplay in authenticity and lived experience. The story follows three neurodivergent artists navigating acting, music, and painting as their lives intersect in ways that create a ripple effect across the city. Because this story explores neurodivergence from my deeply personal perspective, it was incredibly important to collaborate with the Neurodivergent Change Foundation to help ground the film in authenticity and lived experience. With heavy hearts, we share that Burd has passed away at the age of 110. He lived a remarkable life defined by love, war, grief, and a commitment to showing up for others. Getting to know the nation's oldest person so intimately has been transformative for us, and has taught this young filmmaker so much about how to make the most of your life. As he once told me, "You gotta keep your wits about you somehow". With his family's blessing, we share the first 50 seconds of our film about his life, BURD. Grateful to have known him.

So everyone — Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy New Year! Here are some of my highlights ❤️ It’s come to that time of year where I put my year in a nutshell. Sorry for some of the poor-quality photos — I know I can be a bit lazy sometimes. This year, as a whole, honestly hasn’t been the greatest (why the hell is the worst president of the US back???), continuing the trend of how the 2020s have been so far. That doesn’t mean you can’t make the best out of it, and boy oh boy, I think I did! This year I got to direct three awesome music videos for huge and talented up and comers @carinaa.b @elyse_saunders_music and my pal @devin_cecchetto ! With support from the @ontarioartscouncil and the @onf_nfb I finally got to make my long-time-in-the-making passion project, Burdened! We even got to shoot part of it in an LED volume thanks to @immersionroom — this was an insanely awesome experience! I am so, so excited to show this film to you all in the new year as we hit the film festivals. It truly is my proudest work, and I am so grateful to my team for helping me bring this to life. Love you @letterfifty 😍 I got to return to the Cannes Film Festival with my good friends @adgzzw @matty.downs and @arteen_khalatbari — what a true experience this was! Even better the second time! And of course, there was the mighty TIFF50 — great times! I cannot wait for next year. My dance partner @jadiel_dowlin_lewis and I are cooking up something good! Excited to keep cooking it up in the new year. I want to thank all the amazing people for being part of my 2025 and making it one of the best years of my life.
