@visualatelier8 presents DEVIATION by @studiosvensauer The installation stretches across the room like a carpet of glass fragments, woven from shards collected worldwide. Broken glass often feels ominous: shattered windows before earthquakes, shards from riots, or jagged borders meant to keep people out. Today, it can seem as though shards are everywhere, and humanity doesn’t always appear in the best light. Based on texts by historian @RutgerBregman , DEVIATION reveals another truth: in times of crisis, people tend to move closer together, and acts of kindness grow. Negativity may be louder, but history shows cooperation prevails. From certain angles, the processed shards catch light and divide it a hundredfold, turning fragments of destruction into reflections of hope. Artwork: @studiosvensauer

@naercph has created the Loop Candleholder, a brushed stainless steel object formed from a continuous metal ribbon that suspends a burning candle above its cylindrical base. Melted wax drips directly back into the holder, turning the candle’s consumption into part of the piece’s functional ritual.

@ejrbarnes introduces Croissant Basculante, a sculptural armchair balancing furniture design with surreal intervention. Constructed from pearwood, tulip, aluminium, and silk wool, the piece contrasts soft upholstery with polished metallic croissant-shaped supports that appear to destabilize its solid volume. 📷 @richard_round_turner

@andreamancuso_studio presents LUMIAC (Light Unit Mechanised Iintelligence Apparatus Computer), a light installation developed for @nilufargallery during Milan Design Week 2026. Suspended mechanical elements move through space with articulated gestures, generating shifting reflections and choreographed light sequences. The project investigates the relationship between human intuition and machine logic through motion, structure, and artificial response. 📸 @filippopincolini @alejandro_ramoroz

@spy__studio presents HALOS, a large-scale installation commissioned by @brightfestival Festival Florence, composed of suspended gold and silver circular elements in continuous rotation. Set within a former railway factory in Florence, the work activates the verticality of the atrium, where three levels offer shifting perspectives across the space. As the discs rotate, light fragments and recomposes into a dynamic constellation of reflections. The installation evolves through movement, both mechanical and human, expanding visual depth as visitors navigate the environment. Captured by @rubenpb

Developed by @eugenio___costa and @nicolo_tallone , the system uses a three-axis joint with a quick-lock mechanism to connect irregular branches without screws. Starting from raw wood, the process shifts toward selecting and understanding material before assembly, allowing structures to grow through adaptation. Rooted in research on local wood species in Lombardy, Omnibite proposes a modular approach where natural variation becomes part of the construction logic. Captured by @matok.lab

@tomducarouge designs a water display and incense holder installation for New Balance’s London Run House. It references the flow of runners along the Thames during the London Marathon. The space includes custom furniture elements such as a signage workshop table with integrated pen storage, product displays with glass magnifiers, and gradient glass cabinets. Produced with @exposureamerica and FormdCreative, with floral arrangements by @meandmybloomers , the installation translates movement and rhythm into a series of refined retail display objects. @unavela.store presents its Aluminium Coffee Cup, a minimal espresso cup developed in the south of France. It is shaped from a single piece of aluminium with proportions designed for a 50 ml serving. The surface features a soft matte finish that enhances the material’s clarity while ensuring durability over time. Paired with a square aluminium saucer, the set follows a clean, geometric language. Each piece is assembled by hand in the atelier, reflecting a focused approach to material, form, and everyday use. Full project on visualatelier8.com

@dion_hall_ introduces a new menu board for Supernormal in Melbourne, continuing a 15-year collaboration with Andrew McConnell and Jo McGann. Positioned at the restaurant’s entrance, the illuminated object frames the arrival sequence and establishes the spatial tone from the street. The structure integrates lighting and display into a single vertical element, aligning with the evolving identity of Supernormal while responding to how the space is used and remembered over time.
