СПИРКА СОФИЯ ‘70 🇧🇬
Между 3 септември и 5 октомври DOT Sofia в сътрудничество с Българския визуален архив и Киноклуб Супер 8 ни дават възможност да видим София такава, каквато е била, но и да се замислим за променливата непреходност на градския живот.
📨 Заповядайте на 3 септември от 18:00 ч., за да открием заедно фотографската изложба СПИРКА СОФИЯ ‘70 с архивни кадри на Панайот Бърнев.
➖ Курирана от Тихомир Стоянов и съкурирана от Веселина Сариева, изложбата ни води на разходка из София през 1975 година, когато камерата на Панайот Бърнев улавя градския живот и неговата динамика през обектива на човешките истории в района около Женския пазар.
➖ СПИРКА СОФИЯ ‘70 е първата фотографска изложба на DOT Sofia. Тя е вдъхновена и свързана с опознаването и документирането на квартала, в който апартхотелът се намира - Стара София, Район “Възраждане” и най-вече Женският пазар, най-старият столичен пазар.
📍 Очакваме Ви на 3 септември между 18 и 20 ч. СПИРКА СОФИЯ ‘70 ще бъде в DOT Sofia до 5 октомври и може за бъде разгледана всеки ден от 10 до 19 ч. Вход: свободен.
🍫 Happy to share this dream project I worked on for the past year: a book about the 100-year anniversary of Svoge Chocolate factory, full of archive photos, scanned packaging from the last century, photos of old machines for grinding, roasting cocoa beans and making chocolate, a bit of soviet propaganda and the modern times and chocolates we all know from our childhood. More or less, it represents the history of Bulgaria’s industrial development in the past century. The book is 400 pages with a hardcover with linencloth, 3 sections for the three historical periods it spans over (beginning of 20th century until WWII, Socialist period and the time after 1989) and with two different paperstocks.
It is in Bulgarian with a small translated section in English at the end, printed on bright yellow paper. Lots of interesting design decisions to make!
It was great to work alongside Tihomir Stoyanov @visualarchive.bg who was digging for and finding old postcards, photos and packaging, as well as scanning and dealing with all the images for print and most of all was a great collaborator for all the decisions for the book itself 💪💥
The book is not for sale, but available in Synthesis gallery’s photobook collection, the National Library in Sofia and a few other places.
