Our last issue of Switchyard has arrived. From the beginning, we wanted Switchyard to be more than a magazine. We wanted it to be a gathering place for essays, poems, and stories that matter—work that sparks conversation and builds community. With this issue, we’re grateful to close on the voices of @merrillfeitell , @bethminhnguyen , @adalimonwriter , @ruxguidi , @esther_honig , and many more, whose writing reflects our search for meaning in the midst of painful endings. To all the writers who trusted us with their work—and to every reader who joined us along the way—thank you. You’ve truly made Switchyard a place to exchange ideas and find new ways of seeing the world. 📖 Read the final issue: /issue-5

What a great evening at @boldforkbooks ! We loved celebrating the launch of Tequila Wars with our editor, @tgenoways , New York Times’s @eliza9b and an incredible crowd of readers, writers, and tequila enthusiasts. This DC stop is part of Ted’s national tour, bringing the story of José Cuervo to life across the country—and we’re proud to have his voice at the heart of Switchyard.

Gasoline. Coffee. Wood. @tailyrirvine ’s essay captures the feeling of a hunting truck at 5 a.m., the hush before sunrise, and the weight of family history carried along the trail. Her writing and photography work hand-in-hand to preserve memories that can’t be bottled—only passed down. Read it. See it.
