Step back more than 300 years at Harriton Historic House, one of the oldest surviving historic homes on the Main Line and the longtime residence of Charles Thomson, secretary to the Continental Congress during the American Revolution. From Welsh Quaker roots to Revolutionary history, this Bryn Mawr landmark has stories around every corner.
This July 4th weekend, Harriton House joins historic sites across Montgomery County as part of our Houses of Declaration initiative, commemorating America’s 250th anniversary with special events, living history, readings of the Declaration of Independence, family-friendly activities and more.

Last night my bestie and I attended the premiere of Cirque du Soleil LUZIA in Oaks PA, just outside of Philly, and it was an evening of pure wonder.
This is so much more than a show, it’s an immersive experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported into a dreamy, surreal world inspired by the culture, mythology, and beauty of Mexico. Hummingbirds, monarch butterflies, mythical creatures, breathtaking acrobatics, stunning costumes, and soulful music take you on a journey you’ll never forget.
My friend and I kept looking over at each other saying, “Did you see that!”
This is the kind of experience that reminds you why live performance is so truly magical, and it’s perfect for the whole family. It’s such a great introduction to the arts for children, but it’s also a great date night.

POV: your favorite Netflix shows just turned into dinner plans. 🍿🍔🎬
I recently attended an event at Netflix Bites inside Netflix House at the King of Prussia Mall [HOSTED], and this place is SO much more than a themed restaurant!
Netflix House is basically an immersive entertainment experience where you can step inside the worlds of your favorite Netflix shows through escape-room style adventures, VR experiences, mini golf, carnival games, themed merch, and of course… food inspired by the shows themselves.
But one of my favorite parts? The details everywhere you look!!! The glowing red entrance outside Netflix House is designed to look like the iconic old Netflix DVD envelopes, and once you step inside, the massive red hallway is meant to feel like walking your own Hollywood red carpet into the worlds of your favorite shows.
The menu at Netflix Bites is packed with clever references and over-the-top presentation. We tried favorites like the giant “Netflix Plot Twist” Bavarian pretzel, the Hellfire Club sandwich, the Perfect Pickle Pie, themed cocktails, and desserts. Even the chicken bites were interactive! The Squid Game-inspired “Red Bite, Green Bite” dish turned dinner into a game where we had to spin a wheel to decide our fate and determine which dipping sauce we had to use with each bite. Hands down one of the most fun menu concepts I’ve seen in a while.
A few things to know before you go:
✨ You do NOT need tickets to Netflix House to eat at Netflix Bites
✨ The restaurant is open daily inside King of Prussia Mall
✨ Many menu items are inspired by Netflix favorites like Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Squid Game, Wednesday, ONE PIECE, and more
✨ There are also immersive attractions including VR adventures, mini golf, themed experiences, shopping, and a theater space showing Netflix content and hosting special events. (Please note: attractions require tickets)
If you’re looking for a fun date night, group outing, or something different near Philadelphia, this one’s definitely worth adding to your list.
