This Thursday, May 14th at 7PM, Visit is pleased to host a conversation between Genevieve Goffman and Ruby Justice Thelot ahead of the opening of An Inconsistent Triad in newburgh NY on May 23rd.
Hosted as part of Visit’s ongoing Bushwick pop-up program at 1196 Myrtle Ave, Brooklyn, the talk continues the gallery’s interest in creating spaces for sustained engagement with artists and their work before exhibitions formally open.

Visit is pleased to present An Inconsistent Triad, a three-person exhibition with Genevieve Goffman, Bri Griffin, and Ruby Bailey.
Opening 23 May at Visit, Newburgh.
Curated by Ruby Bailey in dialogue with the gallery.
The exhibition takes its name from a logic problem in which any two propositions can hold together, but never all three at once. Across painting, sculpture, and cast objects, the works read like artefacts—familiar, but withholding the systems that produced them.
Goffman draws from pastoral poetry, American allegory, and socialist realism, building images where symbols circulate without resolution.
Griffin’s “tablets,” cast in wax and dyed resin, move between illumination, circuitry, and sigil.
Bailey’s work operates as encryption—fragments and coded forms cast in resin and metal, folding time, reference, and memory into a single object.

Ahead of An Inconsistent Triad, Visit begins a series of preview conversations in Bushwick, conversations that shape the exhibition before it opens in Newburgh, NY.
The first brings Ruby Justice Thelot into dialogue with Genevieve Goffman.
Curated by Ruby Bailey, the exhibition brings together Goffman, Bri Griffin, and Bailey.
