I've released a lot of music over the years, but I don't think I've ever been so excited to share this album, made with 7 other amazing musicians from the Hot Fire band. We are dropping our first single, Phantom Family, on March 27, the same day as our headlining SLO Brew show with @thelovingmosh and @thesweetspotsslo . (Next Friday woo!!)
This cover (no ai whatsoever) is intended to make you feel uncomfortable. It's meant to evoke a disjointed billionaire family, where violence and obfuscation overshadow their humanity. Big thanks to @femme.foxwrites , her children Aden and Sylas, and @xanderbissell for making this a reality.
The song Phantom Family puts words to the truth that no matter how isolated you may think you are, you are connected to every other being in this universe. The clothes we wear, the food we eat, the way we think....everything about us is in direct relationship with other. No one is above this law, and it's in our best interest to act in support of that relationship.
We are at a precipice in our civilization, where we can choose to work together to heal the planet and the relationships in our lives, or further disconnect and usher in further conflict and darkness.
My heart goes out to everyone affected by the conflicts in this world, from Iran, to Palestine to Ukraine, to Russia, to Israel and beyond. I hope we can move away from oligarchy and violence to a place of peace and prosperity.
