Today is a very special day for me. It is the release day of my single Var - Er from my upcoming debut album Eilífur. Out now via @pentatonemusic . Link in bio.⁠ This single does a good job of summing up what the album is about. I find the future to be both frightening and exciting. What baffles me the most is the prediction that in this century medical advances might give us a choice to live as long as we want. It is difficult to comprehend the complex emotions I have for that idea. The album Eilífur is my attempt to work through that. Today is also World Autism Awareness Day. My older son, to whom I dedicate this album, is autistic and his perspective of the world is very dear to me. I wish to develop my understanding on how to communicate with my son, hold and nurture the philosophy of seeing the world from his perspective, because it pushes me to grow beyond what I see to be my limitation from the standpoint of where I am today.
