drawing I did for @usydwoco ‘s handbook, ‘Growing Strong’. I’ve been waiting for the right time to post this but unfortunately this issue is always relevant!
I heard this chant for the first time at a rally in 2021.
.
The point of this drawing was to highlight that sexual assault can happen to anyone, regardless of who they are, what they’re wearing or what situation they’re in. No one should ever be made to feel guilt or shame for something that’s done to them without their consent.
.
The blame should always be on the perpetrators. While this means the people who actually commit these acts being held accountable, we also need to look at the people in power who perpetuate sexual/gendered violence. From Trump and the Epstein files, to Albanese recently describing Grace Tame (who won Australian of the year for advocating for survivors of sexual assault) as “difficult”, it’s clear who’s running this sexist system and who needs to fight it!
.
We don’t need more women in parliament, we need more “difficult” and “dangerous” women like Grace Tame and Greta Thunberg, who are prepared to speak out against a sexist, violent, imperialist system. We need more men who are prepared to play an active role in fighting sexism/sexual violence, especially in their workplaces.
.
And we need to fight this system on every front. When we fight for Palestine, we are fighting for an end to IDF soldiers using sexual violence as a tool of colonisation. When we fight for Indigenous rights, we are fighting for an end to Aboriginal women’s children being taken from them. When we fight for trans rights, we are fighting for trans women to not have to endlessly stress over everyday decisions like which bathroom to use.
Every form of oppression is connected because they are all perpetuated by ruling class fuckwits like Trump and Albanese. It is a choice for our government’s to put money towards war and destruction, rather than domestic violence shelters, research on women’s health, childcare, etc.
.
Anyways, tldr: smash the sexist system

they can ban “from the river to the sea” in Queensland and they can ban “globalise the intifada” in NSW, but that won’t stop the movement (won’t stop us from saying it either lol). from Gadigal to Gaza, we will globalise the intifada, so that from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free 🇵🇸
last slide is from the Herzog rally, even after the police brutalised people in attempts to stop us from marching, we still marched to Central. we need more of this kind of defiance!!!!!

Comic I did for @honi_soit after the Herzog protest then forgot to post lol.
It speaks volumes that the man who threw a bomb into a crowd of Aboriginal people and allies protesting on Invasion Day in Perth, was taken aside and spoken to by police, while protesters against the genocidal war criminal Isaac Herzog, were brutalised. My comrade @alimizher_ was bashed and called a “brown cunt” by the police, while Isaac Herzog was protected by them and welcomed by Chris Minns and Albanese.
After videos came out of police dragging away and bashing muslim men who were praying during the rally, Chris Minns put out a statement doubling down, saying thar police were put in an “impossible situation”. There is no excuse for the violence shown towards protesters at the Herzog rally, and it is a symptom of our government’s increasing desperation to crack down on Palestine protests.
As part of this crackdown, on the 17th legislation will be voted on surrounding the banning of the phrase “Globalise the Intifada.
We will be rallying outside NSW Parliament to say globalise the intifada is not hate speech, it means uprising which is what we need. Check @stopwaronpalestine for more details.

@usydwoco x @usydacar shirts at the women’s collective rally :D (thanks for commissioning me!!!)
I was asked to draw something for this design that highlighted feminism and First Nations activism.
Deaths in custody is one of the most prominent issues faced by Indigenous people right now, especially in the Northern Territory. The stark contrast in the application of the Country Liberal Party’s (CLP) “tough on crime” policies can be seen in the treatment of Jake Danby, a white man who ran over 2 Aboriginal people with his car, killing them, and Kumanjayi Walker, who committed the crime of grocery shopping while blak.
Danby was given no jail time, despite showing no remorse. Hours after the murder, he messaged friends calling the victims “n*****” and “dogs”, and saying “Maybe if I’m lucky I’II be able to claim his Centrelink for taking out another oxygen thief”.
While Kumanjayi White, a disabled Aboriginal man on NDIS, was killed in a grocery store by an off duty cop for “stealing”. You can’t steal while you’re still in the store…
.
I also wanted to highlight the bravery of First Nations women in this drawing, and the cultural traditions primarily carried on by women, like weaving raffia (what her earrings are made of). I’ve been inspired by so many staunch Aboriginal women throughout my life, from my family, to my tutors, to activists fighting against blak deaths in custody and land rights like Latoya Rule and Jenny Munro (just to name a few of MANY, also so many staunch activists in the Coe family btw).
.
Everyone needs to be aware of the issues facing Aboriginal people, but it is equally important to recognise the strength and the history of resistance. I’ve added the clip from Invasion Day on the last slide bc I feel like that chant is the perfect example of solidarity, and strength in resistance (also spot the drawing on the first banner haha).

cops out of pride!
especially after the brutality that took place at the rally against Herzog, police should not be marching in Mardi Gras. they have historically brutalised the queer community, as they continue to do so, particularly to trans women in detention centres and sex workers. you lose the right to celebrate with your community when you beat up and jail your community. Kick cops out of pride (or just kick them).
Thanks for commissioning me @usydqueer :)
If you want a shirt, go to QUAC stall at USYD O Week! (on tomorrow and friday)

drawing i made ages ago and then forgot to post lol.
this is sort of a redraw of a drawing i did in 2022 around the same time as the coronial inquest into the murder of Kumanjayi Walker. i swear it becomes increasingly relevant every day tho, especially with the minimum age of criminal responsibility being lowered to 10 in the NT recently, and the brutality we’ve seen against pro Palestine protesters in the past few years. but we’ve also seen what we can achieve through solidarity, many charges against pro Palestine protesters have been dropped and we have continued to protest, because opposing genocide is not s crime. keep fighting for sanctions and against our racist government (a special fuck u to the CLP).
thanks @addiroad.youth and big thank u to @walliissss for printing the shirts :D

drawing for the back of women’s honi! big thanks to @usydwoco 🙏🙏🙏
.
I started making this drawing after the first March for Australia rally in August. These rallies are organised by Nazis, trying to draw racist people further towards their ideology. The only way to fight them is by taking a firm stance against not only their ideology, but also against the scapegoating of migrants by Albanese’s Labor government, and outnumbering them on the streets. We can take inspiration from activists in the US fighting Trump’s racist mass deportations, and the workers who have refused to let ICE agents stay in hotels and refused to fix their vehicles
.
Protests calling for the end of a genocide were characterised as “violent and aggressive” by Penny Wong last year, but according to Albanese there were some “good people” at the MFA rally, even assuring them that in regards to immigration, they are “getting the numbers down”. He claimed there were many people there simply concerned about the housing crisis… which he has used migrants as a scapegoat for.
.
There is no excuse for racism, but we also cannot excuse the role Albanese’s government has played in fuelling this racism. Australian governments have underfunded public housing for decades, while they continue privatising housing and demolishing homes to sell the sites to private investors. Rather than funding public housing, they choose to use migrants as a convenient scapegoat.
.
Labor recently passed laws that could be used to deport 80,000 non citizens, and spending $2.5 billion on a deal with Nauru to deport people there. This is money which could’ve been used to build more housing.
.
Come to the rally on October 19th to protest March for Australia and let them know that migrants are welcome here, racists are not. We will not let Albanese get away with continuing to fuel anti migrant racism to cover up for his own failure to address the housing crisis.

“500 BLAK BODIES ON YOUR MOTHERFUCKING HEAD” -Barkaa
Kumanjayi White was an Aboriginal man murdered in a grocery store by off duty police officers, one of his killers wasn’t even a cop he just worked in the courts. They claim he was arrested and murdered for “shoplifting”, but how can you shoplift if you haven’t even left the store?? The other questions we have to ask is, why would a disabled man on NDIS be so desperately in need of money he would have to resort to stealing food? Where was his support worker? How many more black men need to die screaming “I can’t breathe” before we see accountability and change?
.
Aboriginal ppl make up over 30% of the prison population while making up less than 4% of the overall population of Australia. For Kumanjayi White, simply being a black man buying groceries was enough to warrant his murder according to the police that killed him. For Kumanjayi Walker, being a black man on bail was enough for police to barge into his home without a warrant and shoot him dead.
.
I don’t care to hear about how crime rates are higher for aboriginal ppl if its used to defend police murder. Yes aboriginal crime rates are higher, when you oppress people for generations, when you take their language and their culture, when you underfund their healthcare and education systems, when you push them into poverty, when you treat them like criminals, when you murder their family and community members, people will start to fight back.
.
This murder not only highlights the need to keep fighting for justice for Aboriginal people, it also shows that the same system responsible for this oppression is responsible for the oppression of disabled people, and of all working class people in Australia. It’s the same government that is complicit in the murder of Palestinians and funds weapons of war while shutting down Aboriginal Legal Services due to “lack of funding”.
.
Indigenous people have the right to resist oppression, from Gadigal to Gaza, all colonies must fall.
Yuendumu, we stand with you.

The new antisemitism definition, adopted by USYD and pushed by Universities Australia(UA), states that “criticism of Israel can be antisemitic ... when it calls for the elimination of the State of Israel”. There is nothing antisemitic about calling for the end of genocide and apartheid, and calling for one democratic, secular, Palestinian state where people of all faiths and backgrounds can live equally. For as long as Zionism as an ideology has existed, there has been staunch Jewish opposition to it, even prior to the creation of Israel. Groups like Jews Against the Occupation continue this legacy by protesting the genocide, they have even spoken out specifically against this definition at rallies at USYD.
.
Luna is a transgender asylum seeker and an international student at USYD, who was threatened with suspension which could’ve led to deportation due to her visa, for the crime of writing “from the river to the sea” on a whiteboard in a non whiteboard marker. Meanwhile management invited IDF soldiers who have committed actual warcrimes in Gaza into their building to speak on a panel about “social cohesion”. Luna is not the only person to have been threatened with disciplinary action, last year 2 students were suspended during the encampment for protesting, but we successfully campaigned for those suspensions to be revoked.
.
USYD must cut all ties with weapons manufacturers and Israeli institutions complicit in the genocide in Gaza. USYD has an exchange program with the Technion Uni which was involved in poisoning Palestinian water supplies, and the Hebrew Uni of Jerusalem which runs IDF training programs and is forcibly displacing Palestinians to expand their campus. Through protest, students and staff forced USYD to cut ties with Bezalel, where students sew uniforms for IDF soldiers. We need to keep up this kind of action until all ties are cut.
.
Anti-zionism is NOT antisemitism.
