Our obsession with soil doesn’t stop at the root of our own vines and trees. We also develop apps to help small scale farmers become more resilient in today's changing world.
Vidacycle Tech took root after we noticed a few hundred of our 8,000 olive trees dying back each year after the frost – it was devastating to see many years of growth (and hard work) die back completely.
That’s when @abby_super , with her physics background, developed software to monitor and track individual tree health.
Each day we can look online to see sectors or individual trees that need attention right away, and observe long term patterns of tree behaviour so we can give better care to struggling trees.
This has since evolved into a range of widely used apps, including @soilmentor , Workmentor and @sectormentor , helping small scale farmers become resilient, sustainable and importantly, profitable.
It's this sharing of knowledge which is so important to us. At Vidacycle, our love for the land has taught us just how important regenerative farming is for the future of people and the Earth.
We grow a variety of foods in harmony with nature, going beyond organic to encourage biodiversity, healthy soil and resilience year-on-year.
Seeing the benefits of our ecological approach to farming (we don't use chemicals or irrigation) is particularly important to us as the landscape can support all kinds of life above and below the ground. We believe it’s this life and this way of farming that imparts distinctive flavour and energy in what we grow.

For those new to Vidacycle, welcome! We are a family-run regenerative farm in Loncomilla Valley, Chile, where we listen, learn and work with nature to produce food and wine in a way that’s better for our Earth and its people.

TINTE (second photo) is our natural wine that is lovingly crafted from our dry farmed and very old Pais vines. The beauty captured in every bottle reflects our deep connection to the land and life cycles of the natural world. Nothing is added to the grapes from farm to bottle ~ just sunlight + nutrients from soil and rainfall!

Vidacyle (@vidacycle ) es una viña orgánica en el Valle de Loncomilla. El año 2017 hubo un incendio y en el sitio vecino, donde hay un monocultivo de pino, se propagó rápidamente, pero cuando llegó a su terreno sorprendentemente no avanzó mucho más allá. El análisis que hacen ellos en la granja, años después de esta tragedia, es que su manera de cultivar y la presencia del bosque nativo dificultó el paso del fuego. Esto los hizo profundizar en la importancia de regenerar y mantener los bosques nativos.
