Walk a scenic 10km trail from Red Hill to Merricks General Store, following a historic rail track while enjoying wine tastings and delicious canapés along the way. 🗓️ Saturday 9 May

🌅 Summer Twilight Winery Stroll | One Night Only🍷
Some of the Mornington Peninsula’s most loved wineries will open their gates for a relaxed twilight stroll through vineyards, paddocks and along quiet dirt roads.
As the sun dips low, we’ll stroll through beautiful scenery, stopping for wine tastings along the way before finishing with a delicious light supper. All enjoyed in the golden hour of late afternoon and early evening.

Had a lot of fun playing the role of MC at the Australian Pinot Noir Challenge Presentation of Trophies dinner earlier this month.
I’ve just written up a summary of the competition, which was won by the @giantstepswine team led by @melanie_chester for their 2024 Applejack Pinot Noir.
Some 30 gold medals were spread across more than 300 entries from 17 regions. Eight of those regions emerged with a regional trophy winner.
A new, free-to-read article on Substack includes my opening comments from the trophy dinner, as well as a write-up of seven wines. (Yes, there was a half-dozen but another one snuck in because there was some good value on offer in a category where the consumer buy-in can be a little steep.)
