This week, we’re highlighting our own Community Manager at City Collective Amsterdam.
Working across research, curation, artistic practice, and community building, her work explores the intersections of sound, politics, culture, and collective life - while helping strengthen connections across Amsterdam’s creative ecosystem.
Through different practices and perspectives, we continue building a network shaped by dialogue, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
Sonic Syncretisms: A Pulse Carried Across Scenes

Originally soft-launched during ADE, Sonic Syncretisms is part of our ongoing art programme; but just as importantly, it’s part of how we understand community, collaboration, and exchange within Orphic.
The film brings together @orphicamsterdam (Amsterdam) and @01366__ (Manchester); two collectives shaped by cities where techno grew through different histories, sounds, and social realities. Rather than trying to capture a night, we wanted to slow things down and look at what happens around the music: the conversations, the intentions, the questions that emerge when scenes meet.
Through interviews recorded during the artist dinner and fragments from the night, the film reflects on how local sonic identities are formed, how they sit next to each other, and what new possibilities can open up when we share space without forcing sameness.
For us, this was an archiving exercise, but also a very natural extension of what we’ve always done: navigating collaboration in a spontaneous, yet deeply considered way, and allowing those encounters to lead us somewhere new.
This is one small attempt to hold that process in place.
For the community. For future memories.

New mix is up!
As part of @orphicamsterdam “Queer Rebellions” Final Performance Evening, I recorded a mix which served as a sound installation, and the tension tread connecting the night’s performances.
Inspired by the chapter “A Vida é uma Ópera” of Machado de Assis’ iconic book “Dom Casmurro” (1899), the mix is an unpretentious tale of my imagination, blending blues, experimental opera (specifically from the military dictatorship period in Brasil) and contemporary experimental ambient.
Enjoy, or maybe not so much (quite honestly a compliment if some of you don’t)..

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Queer Rebellions - Final Performance Evening. It was an intense, raw and subliminal night; one that echoed the many facets in which our scene was born, and the ones we believe it should continue to explore.
