We commemorated Cinco de Mayo with Mexico at Totally Arts @mtgstudios this week.
We looked at ‘My Life With The Wave’ by Octavio Paz, and embodied the frozen waves at the end of the story. Then offered our own unique interpretations of Frida Kahlo!!
It was African World Heritage Day this week, so at Totally Arts @mtgstudios we explored the work of writer Flora Nwapa, the choreography of @alvinailey and the art of Ghada Amer.

It’s Stress Awareness Month so at Totally Arts @mtgstudios this week we did some hand massage, wrote visualisations and explored the polka dot-tastic work of Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama.
I spent a small fortune on polka dot stickers and didn’t regret a single penny!
We tried to copy one piece then got creative with our own!! Those polka dots got everywhere!!!
Had a gorgeous day @tattonpark to create an audio introduction for #SeeMeAppear, an immersive artwork by @peut_porter asking ‘what if female voices were more often recognised in historical storytelling?’
The work imagines the lives of 3 women who lived at Tatton, mixing fact with fabulation using augmented reality. It’s stunning!

Today is my last day working with @bradfordcultureco - it’s been an extraordinary time and I’ve learned so much. I’ve got things right, got things wrong and met some incredible people, not least the 10 trainee audio describers who have ALL stayed throughout the whole year and given their time and enthusiasm with seemingly endless good cheer. Watching them grow has undoubtedly been my favourite part of the year and I am beyond grateful for them all.

So here are 20 decorated LEGO figures which we think are pretty spectacular. We’ve definitely embraced texture here!
Here at Totally Arts @mtgstudios we celebrated Holi Festival in our own way.
We’ll have no truck with all that paint throwing, but brightly coloured scarves? Oh yes, we’re fine with those, so we chucked them around with gusto!
