sometimes i wonder where that child’s curiosity went through time? did the experience really overshadow this pure joy of creating? can’t really tell anymore.
but what i can absolutely tell is that i still leave the space for the world around me. i let it breathe and reach me

i miss how it smells when seasons changing in my hometown. i never noticed it was a special smell before i moved countries. i still don’t feel like i #belong here completely: the sunlight in the morning, the amount of windows lit in the night, even the sound of people speaking my language feels out of place.
of course it’s not the same, but trying it feel home doesn’t work out yet.

i remember that metallic slide warmed up from sun against my legs. my granny rocking me in a swing and every time I would swing I would tilt myself so I see tree tops where sun is coming through.
sometimes I just think and try to see what that little girl saw, what are those views that led me now to see the world like i see it.

initially this shoot was meant to be a quick shot under blooming trees that I saw on my way, but somehow by accident it turned 360 for me.
there was some resemblance to what I saw in old magazines my grannie stored for fireplace - maybe textures, poses, i can’t fully pinpoint. some of it was coming from more contemporary shoots that inspired me too.
and that’s how it got to where it is now.
