The Sopranos is an American television drama centered on New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano, a high-ranking figure in the Italian-American Mafia navigating internal power struggles within his crime family. Set against the world of organized crime, the series explores the psychological toll of his dual life through his therapy sessions with Dr. Jennifer Melfi.
Widely regarded as one of the most influential television series of all time, The Sopranos redefined the possibilities of long-form storytelling, ushering in a new era of television capable of the same narrative depth as film and literature.
Living Proof has collaborated with photographer Anthony Neste to present previously unseen photographs from the show’s creation.
The book includes an interview with Drea de Matteo on the life of James Gandolfini.
