Would you take a flying taxi across Miami? ✈️⚡️
Attended the Miami debut of Valo, an electric air taxi from @verticalaerospace 🛫, showcased at The Bass Museum of Art (@thebassmoa ).
Designed for trips up to 100 miles and built to make travel faster, quieter, and more sustainable.
They’re creating routes that could connect Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach in minutes instead of sitting in traffic.
Imagine flying Miami ↔ Palm Beach in ~36 minutes or Miami ↔ Fort Lauderdale in ~13 minutes.
The future of flight might be closer than we think. 🚁✨

A crazy day of firsts for Lady May! First day riding the train into the city like a real commuter, first day with some new friends, and the first dog ever to step paw in the @verticalaerospace Valo at @cccmanhattan !
Would you take a ride on this “taxi”?🪽🚕
Vertical Aerospace is showcasing its Valo electric air taxi in New York City this week. The Valo is a piloted electric aircraft designed to carry four passengers up to 100 miles at speeds of 150 mph with zero operating emissions, and this marks its first U.S. appearance following its London unveiling last month.
Alongside the showcase, Vertical announced plans for electric air taxi routes in and around Manhattan in partnership with Bristow Group and Skyports Infrastructure, including airport transfers from JFK, event travel to venues like MetLife Stadium, leisure routes to East Hampton, cross-town transfers between Manhattan heliports, and aerial sightseeing tours. The aircraft is targeting certification by 2028 with plans to enter commercial service after regulatory approval, and this NYC tour is part of Vertical’s broader effort to engage with customers, investors, and regulators ahead of that launch.

🛸 VALO in #NYC 🍎 @verticalaerospace@cccmanhattan
P.S. Yes, with a 100-mile range at speeds of up to 150 mph, Vertical Aerospace’s forthcoming VALO #eVTOL will be able to fly from NYC to East Hampton on a single #electric charge, transmitting zero emissions ♻️

We could be whizzing around crowded cities in electric aircraft in just a few short years as long as @verticalaerospace gets certified in 2028 as planned. The Valo aircraft is a game changer- quiet, nearly emissonless and much safer than standard helicopters. Airlines like @americanair and @japanairlines have firm orders for them, so I could envision a world where the last leg of your journey to the city center or hotel is actually completed by your airline on an electric aircraft like this. The big question is price- how much will a ride cost? That still remains to be seen 👀

I’m excited to share my recent collaboration with @fiasco_design . Their challenge was to create a modern brand identity and digital home for @verticalaerospace , suitable for a pioneering aviation company on the cusp of revolutionising the future of flight. Working closely with Fiasco, I worked on two illustrations to elevate the brand experience online.
A massive thank you to the Fiasco team for the opportunity. and to my amazing agents @handsome_frank
I’ll be sharing the second illustration tomorrow so stay tuned.
The dream of flight is as old as humanity itself. From winged gods in ancient mythology, to the invention of the kite, and Leonardo da Vinci’s Renaissance studies; the idea of taking to the skies has always intrigued us at a very fundamental, human level.
In 1903 the Wright Brothers successfully flew the first powered aeroplane. Their approach to aeronautical engineering has been used in aeroplanes ever since. Over a hundred years on, and with the world facing a climate emergency - it’s time for change.
@verticalaerospace is pioneering electric flight to help with the move towards zero emissions air travel and transforming urban mobility.
With public flights on the horizon, we were tasked with updating the brand strategy, visual brand and digital platform, crafting an experience befitting a company on the brink of revolutionising the future of flight.
