LENS BREAKDOWN : WHISTLE , The fun part of having 6 weeks of prep is that there is a time to dissect the movie and analyse it so we can figure out the best way to tell the story visually and support the character at the same time , I found 3 visual ways to tell the story. *1. The lens that will telI the story (@vantagebrussels : V-lite Hawk) we shot mostly at T 2.8-4. *2. I also wanted to give some visual differences on all our death Characters close ups @angenieuxlenses ( 50mm M1) which we used wide open T1 to help make it feel that the character different and alienated, I don’t like to shoot wide open but in this case it made sense. It had to feel different from all the rest. *3. I also wanted the sound of the whistle to be visually unique , we used a prototype lens @tokina_global 40mm from @sunbeltrentals , all the softness of smears are from the optic itself , we did NOT enhance anything in post. We also used a zoom 42 -440, periscope system and the V plus zoom , all the highspeed scenes were shot on @zeisscinematography master prime ( basketball / bathtub scene ) . A big thank you to Adam Quinn for all the time and effort during testing and shooting.

end of shooting in Morocco for "lords of war 2" after 46 days of intensive shooting, facing very unexpected weather troubles (flooding, intensive rainfalls, storms). Production wrapped "on schedule" this epic movie we were so proud to service with 4x Arri Alexa 35's, 6x Sony FX3's, 1x Phantom 4K, 4x full sets of Leica Summicron's, 2x Angenieux Optimo zooms, and +/- 2,5 tons of various gear. "SAS ROGUE HEROES" season 3 just wrapped a few days ago. Directed by @stephenwoolfenden , it's the second season shot with Hawk Class-X 2.0x Anamorphic primes and zoom lenses, selected by (DOP) @stijnvanderveken1 (ASC, SBC). Thank you Stijn for this great new job which took you away from home for the last 8 months. It was an honour servicing you again on this new great TV show. The Class-X 55 macro became your new "HERO lens" and you also extensively use the 80-180 Class-X zoom lens, by night (opening at T:2.8, wider than long primes)... A new discovery as you told us, also perfectly matching the primes for its look and definition, at all focal lengths 1307 slates, 70 shoot days, and a total of 227 Codex cards recorded on @ARRI Alexa 35's. Thanks also to @ac.the.ac for the set pictures. Aaron was "A" camera 2nd AC on this season, as well as previous one. "Metal Memories" with (DOP) aliciabekers , (camera operator) @max_becq , (focus puller) Beatriz Rubio where using Alexa Mini and Alura 18-80 zoomlens for this multimedia project needing 4K resolution
