Life gets messy.
It gets uncomfortable.
It gets weird.
But a lot of the things that matter most are found on the other side of showing up, staying open, and saying yes.
In this clip, Sam talks about building real community and why if you want a village, you have to be willing to be a villager.

Today is our 1 year anniversary of being MARRIED. Still crazy to think about that. Hopefully we keep looking this cool in the future. Happy Anniversary, June Bug!
340 miles. 40 hours. 12 runners.
There really is something transformative about the desert, and what remains after the dust settles (literally and figuratively).
When @keepgoingvince and @saylessprojects asked me to come aboard and shoot video for @thespeedproject , I was beyond nervous. Not just because this was my first time shooting video, color grading and editing all on my own, but because the stories that these runners carry are deeply personal and powerful.
There were highs and lows, handoffs and hard moments, laughs and love expressed. Here’s to one of the most transformative weekends of my life and the 12 runners that showed me even if you’re in the most desolate of places, you’re never truly alone. 💛🫡

Sayless Projects is impossible without the people who volunteer and choose to say less.
As the team grows, we want to pause and give real thanks to everyone who has helped build this from scratch.
Today is for Sam Vanderforest.
Sam said “yes” on day 1, then somehow led our media team for Year 1 with about a month’s notice. He helped us figure it out in real time, capture the miles, carry the story, and keep the standard high when there was no blueprint.
And he stayed in it long enough to help take this from a relay run to a film at the Granada Theater, built around mental health awareness and support efforts to prevent suicide.
Sam, thank you for your leadership, your calm, your creativity, and your commitment to doing something about it.
This is Sayless Projects.

What an epic year. Got married in Italy, got to work on incredibly fulfilling projects, my brother also got married, had the pleasure of photographing my awesome friends, and even achieved some amazing PR’s running with my community.
On to the next! Love you all!
Studio session to chase away the Sunday Scaries. 📸⭐️
Always an honor to be trusted to refresh headshots! Even better when you’re asked to shake it up and be less formal.
