‘For as long as I can remember, I’ve been building my own spaces. It felt completely natural for me to walk into a room and just start transforming it without even thinking about it.
I’ve never really looked at anything else; I was incredibly uninterested in everything except those spaces. Exhibitions didn’t interest me, books didn’t either, so I never really got inspired by architecture or art. I only ever looked at and felt spaces and built spaces, and those spaces inspired my work’

we are very happy to receive the beautiful book which was made by @davidgillgallery following up the solo exhibition ‘arriving somewhere, maybe’ earlier this year.
thank you!
.
The space, do you call it anything? Does it have a name?
‘I put a staircase on the outside. A round one, which is the only piece I’ve added to this building.
This was my own naming. I told the city that I have to do it, because it’s my name tag. That’s the thing that I would put on to that building and for the rest the building is just what it is.
The light reflects in a way that the colour in this space is sort of pinkish I would say and for my I’ve always had this thing that I want to create a space that somehow intuitively feels like being in a mom’s belly which is a save place.
I don’t know how it looks in there because I can’t remember unfortunately , but it must have been somehow… for me I think this was my safe place.’

a lot of work at the studio results from personal relations, trust, commitment, and a shared force to create and make things happen.
grateful for these moments and circles that bring us together.
