During the first public day of TEFAF New York, visitors explored the exceptional presentations on view across modern and contemporary art, jewelry, antiquities, and design.
Among the highlights at the fair is Yayoi Kusama’s "Dots Obsession", presented by @VanDeWegheFineArt .
Since the late 1950s, Kusama has transformed psychological intensity into immersive visual languages defined by repetition and accumulation. Her iconic polka dots and infinite patterns dissolve the boundaries between self and cosmos, turning personal obsession into a universal experience.
Presented at TEFAF New York, "Dots Obsession" reflects the enduring significance of Kusama’s visionary practice and her continued influence on contemporary art.

Ahead of tomorrow’s public opening, discover a preview of the exceptional works on view at TEFAF New York, including this striking sculpture presented by @Gagosian .
Gagosian showcases the latest additions to Kathleen Ryan’s "Bad Fruit" series, in which enlarged, decaying fruit forms are transformed through intricate surfaces of gems and semiprecious stones.
In "Bad Cherries", salvaged materials, pearls, opals, and crystals are meticulously fixed by hand to create a work of remarkable color, texture, and surface tension, resulting in a work that is at once humorous, seductive, and poignant in its meditation on beauty and decay.

To be presented by @GalerieMariaWettergren at TEFAF New York this week, Camilla Moberg’s "Green Treasure II" is handcrafted in blown glass in Nuutajärvi, Finland’s oldest glassmaking village. The luminescent sculpture draws inspiration from the iridescent colors and patterns of insects and birds, celebrating their beauty while reflecting on the fragility of biodiversity.
Placing stones in formation is an ancient means of communication, used to greet, warn, advise, guide, and deliver important messages. Its luminous, stacked forms evoke a totem-like balance, symbolizing the delicate equilibrium between nature’s resilience and its urgent need for preservation. The work reminds us not to forget the small, often unseen forms of life that are nonetheless essential to our world.
