It was a truly special joy to perform Beethoven’s beautiful Triple Concerto together with Noah Bendix-Balgley @noahviolin (violin), Jean-Guihen Queyras @queyrasjg (cello), and Vadym Kholodenko @vadux (piano). This performance became a powerful symbol of solidarity and artistic unity 🫂 Many thanks once again for this wonderful collaboration!
The sincere, deeply committed, and vibrant performance of Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7 under the direction of @christian_blex left no one untouched and brought the audience to prolonged standing ovations 🤗
We are deeply grateful for such a warm reception and are already very much looking forward to our upcoming concerts in Philharmonie Berlin next season!

No final da tarde da passada terça-feira, Vadym Kholodenko, pianista vencedor dos concursos Van Cliburn, Schubert e Sendai, presenteou a Sala Suggia com duas grandes obras transcritas para o piano: o “Requiem“, de Mozart, que se diz ter sido composto para o próprio, uma obra intensa que mostra como o compositor buscava aprofundar a sua arte combinando técnicas do seu tempo e do passado, e que nos deixa mais perguntas do que respostas; e a “Sinfonia Fantástica“ de Berlioz, uma peça revolucionária do início do Romantismo transcrita para o instrumento por Liszt.

Verblüffend intim: Vadym Kholodenko 🎹
Egal wie hoch die Messlatte liegt: Vadym Kholodenko kann sie überspringen. Als er jüngst kurzfristig für die erkrankte Yuja Wang einsprang, um mit Omer Meir Wellber und den Wiener Symphonikern zu spielen, wurde aus der Absage ein Ereignis – konzentriert, souverän, berührend. ✨
Kholodenko nutzt seine technische Hochfertigkeit nicht als Schauwert, sondern als Mittel, um Geschichten zu erzählen. Seine Programme sind mit Verstand und Herz gebaut, seine Interpretationen präzise und immer spannend. 🎼
Am 28. Juni überträgt er diese Haltung auf Mozarts Requiem und Berlioz’ Symphonie fantastique: Orchestrale Monumente, radikal verdichtet – monumental und zugleich verblüffend intim. ✨

One of today’s most prominent duos, Alena Baeva (@baevochka ) and Vadym Kholodenko (@vadux ), begin counting down to Beethoven’s anniversary year in 2027, with the inaugural recording in a complete cycle of sonatas for violin and piano. The versatile violinist and gold medal-winning pianist (2013 Van Cliburn Competition) used the latest research and sources, including the 2020 Bärenreiter edition, to shape the interpretative choices used in their performances of Op. 12 No. 3, Op. 47 “Kreutzer” and Op. 24 “Spring”.

It was indeed a night to remember with unique artist Vadym Kholodenko (@vadux ), who thrilled the audience in @vatroslavlisinski with his interpretation of Grieg’s Piano Concerto together with Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra under Mo. Pascal Rophé!
After the encore, Grieg’s Wedding day in Troldhaugen, the audience didn’t stop with the applause even when the lights was already turned on!
