[REPLAY] Last week, internationally acclaimed violinist @baevochka made her Liège debut alongside French maestro @lionelbringuier and the @orchestrephilharoyaldeliege . Watch the Luxembourgish violinist bring new, sparkling life and “a tone as warm as Russian tea on a cold winter evening” (Klassik-begeistert) to Mendelssohn’s famed Violin Concerto, No. 2 in E Minor, Op. 64.

Just recorded 2nd part of Beethoven sonatas cycle at @teldexstudio with @vadux and fantastic producer Martin Sauer ✨️
A very special journey we had with recording op.30 (no. 6, 7 & 8). Stepping on that wooden podium, having all the nobility and intimacy of this amazing studio, feeling free exploring (one of my favorite phrases by Martin - "you had several beautiful variants and they all are *quite* different") was something I will never forget. This time and space was filled with unprecedented love and appreciation of these pieces of music. Also, I found myself enjoying recording process more than before - perhaps, getting some experience?
There was some magic happening... and it was captured. The final result will be there, but the very recording unlocked some new levels for me as a musician.
I'll tell more soon about the preparation of the recording, which I am deeply grateful to Gabriele Riccobono for. His generosity in sharing his knowledge shaped a lot my views recently, especially on Beethoven.
Gratitude goes to the whole @alpha_classics team for making this happen, and, of course, we are immensely inspired by the research and insights which Clive Brown and Neal Peres Da Costa brought for their edition of Beethoven sonatas for Bärenreiter. And not the least: it's an honour to be an accompanying violin for Vadym in these "Sonatas per pianoforte"!
