SUNDAY SPECIAL❤️
…Please join me today as I celebrate a gentleman that I consider a great storyteller, sculptor, teacher and good friend #nkemalikor 😍.
I have been collecting his works from my first year in art school till date; over twenty years now😅🙏🏽 and we have collaborated on several design ideas, I truly appreciate him❤️🙏🏽 .
Yesterday I collected another art of his and invited him for a drink @flatoneph 🤗
He was so excited to see his works nicely displayed in my new home/ studio ❤️
What a joy it is to be part of his journey and he mine 💕
We could not help but talk about art for hours 😊.
#life #beautiful #artists #appreciation 🙏🏽

Showcasing paintings, drawings and original monotypes, the exhibition celebrates diverse contemporary portraiture… some of which you may recognise from Portrait Artist of the Year!
Tomorrow (Thursday 18 December), @katebryan_art and @curtisartist will be hosting a panel discussion, titled The View of Portraiture at 5pm. This will be followed by a private view 6-8pm. No booking required.
I will personally be at the gallery all day Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Come along to say hi and have a chat!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of “I’M NOT GOVERNED BY MY FLESH” during the Lagos Art week. It has been wonderful welcoming you to the gallery and seeing you engage with the artist’s works.
Curated by @anelisamangcu , The subjects in this body of work are delicate and restful, yet undeniably powerful. They carry the duality of fragility and endurance, which is the paradox of being both vessel and source. These figures are not representations in the Western sense, but embodiments; they carry within them the texture of myth and memory.
