‘Yungblud’ oil on board, 16”x12” Here he is! I realised I didn’t actually have a good picture of the painting. I had left it wrapped up since the show and hadn’t seen it until this morning. I am really really proud of it. I was so scared to go on the show and did not think I would be able to pull together a painting with no sleep and a live audience. On the day I didn’t get to see much of what everyone else was doing but I was among really really talented people who created such amazing pieces. Thanks so much for all the lovely messages, I’ll be posting Timelapse’s, close ups and practice paintings soon! :)

It’s been a busy few months! Time for painting has been hard to find between work and all the other stuff. I have never been great at being a sketchbook artist, and although I completely understand the value of being able to draw quickly and without consequence, I always find myself overthinking it a bit. I have also never really been a fan of oil pastels, even as a kid I would get frustrated by the lack of control you had with them. Over the past few months I have been feeling a little tight and formulaic with my paintings, and in an attempt to loosen up, I uncovered my oil pastels and just started drawing quick, and simple sketches while I watched the football (coming out as an Arsenal Women’s fan, hope you can all accept me) I have found it so fun to do, and have often started drawing as soon as I wake up, they are loose and scrappy and silly. However the pile is taking over a bit and there is no sign of stopping, so I have stuck them on website for really cheap, some of them are in charity shop frames. Link is in my bio, give the girls a good home! More paintings and oil pastel drawings on the horizon. :) ⚽️

“Since Bounds last post over a month ago, fans have been theorising on her whereabouts, the quietness is eerie but they know she will have been hiding away creating something of true greatness”-the newspaper and lots of news outlets and things. Well, I am happy to announce the great thing I have been doing is a level 2 horticulture qualification (equal to GCSE btw) I can now mow and dig! Here are some bits I have been working away on in the meantime: laptop stand, little seagull corner shelf, lampshade, and a bit of time in the studio with @d__shoo . Also biggest news till last @galleryofthegiants wrote a lovely piece on me for none other than the Aldbourne Dabchick, it’s every villagers dream.

I have been off painting commissions/learning to use a lawn mower/pondering and haven’t posted anything I have been working on for ages, by algorithm rules I’m dead meat I think, sorry zuck. This painting is a comission for a lovely couple, we took the pictures in-front of the Tate Britain in the autumn, it was one of my favourite shoots I have done. Loved painting it also. Oil on board 16”x20”

I left my job at the start of this year and it led to the most varied, silly and fun things, including being able to paint full time atm, which I am so so grateful for! This year brought more paintings, exhibitions, kites, telly, calendars, leading workshops, unemployment, self employment, moving house, the death of my lovely dog, and a lot of time in my slippers. Thank you for supporting, or not supporting but just following my account to keep an eye on me. Hopefully 2026 will bring more change and opportunity and hopefully some money, I could do with a bit.

It’s December! You know what that means! You need to buy your calendar for next year! Why not buy this one? 12x hand cut Lino print designs based on Tree Folklore stories, A4 or A5. Not many left so go grab one while you can. P.S I have been evicted if that pulls on your heart strings and makes you want to support poor little me 😢😢😢❤️❤️❤️🌳🌳🌳🌲🌳

Killed off in her second episode…. RIP she was too young. I genuinely had so much fun on set both days that I filmed, I cannot thank @storyvaultfilms enough for all the work they put in. I grew up baking Mary Berry’s brownies with my siblings, I feel so lucky I got to meet her and paint her. It was a tough day painting wise, defo not my best, but I was focused on making friends with Freddie the dog and chatting with all the other amazing artists. Good luck to the finalists! Come and see us in our group exhibition from the 16th-21st December @nohoshowrooms (also how embarrassing when I had paint on my face I’m sure there is the tech these days to smooth that over hahahah)
