The recent visit of
@javieragustinrojas was not only an endless chain of conversations, drinks and productive disagreements, It also left behind several unexpected presents, including a silver block covered with an anonymous picture that seems taken from the first floor of a 1950s corporate headquarters in Manhattan, but is actually the first floor of Mario Roberto Alvarez's 'Bank of America Casa Central's built in 1965 in Buenos Aires. 'Maroo Roberto Alvarez Obra Seleccionada 1937-1987' discovers for many of us an unknown figure essential to understand the development of Argentina Corporate Modernity, that helps explain the generation of high modernisim coming from the South that included Cesar Pelli but also reorients Adamo Faiden contemporary interests. The encyclopedic book, beautifully edited by
@ditellaarquitectura @editorialditellaarquitectura and
@fschapochnik with materials of its archive, is hard to get due to the US cross national tariffs mess, but, if you have the patience and the resources, it is worth getting a copy. Thanks Javier and
