Two weeks ago, the @urn_sport team covered the UON vs NTU Varsity Basketball, live from David Ross Sports Village!
Starting on a high, the UON women’s team played an incredible game, thrashing Trent with a 92-59 win. Sadly it wasn’t meant to be for the men’s side. Despite a competitive final quarter, Trent just took the edge, winning over UON with a 65-77 final score.
A massive shoutout has to go to Issy and the rest of the sport team for creating some incredible radio and online content, as well as to Angie for her seamless coordination on tech! 💜
Our Summer Social is officially one week today!
📍Laceworks Bar, Arc Space, NG1 3AZ from 5pm to 2am!
The theme is Summer Formal (smart casual), with many forms of entertainment and DJ’s to enjoy throughout the night.

Nominations close at 11:59pm on Thursday 7th May, just in time for our AGM on the following day at B60 Keighton Auditorium (yes, that’s the really big lecture hall near George Green Library, we are truly going out with a bang!)

We are so proud to have so many strong, talented and creative women involved in everything we do here at URN, who deserve to be celebrated all day and every day. 💜
Two weeks ago, we had the privilege of collaborating with UoN Students Against Sexual Violence and Sexism Society @uonsass through broadcasting their annual Light Up the Night event!
Aimed to reclaim our campus as a safe space for women, the vigil platformed speeches and poetry from students, staff and representatives from local sexual violence awareness organisations.
Alongside this, we broadcasted a special episode of the Women’s Pulse discussing key issues surrounding women’s safety. We also followed the Vigil with a schedule of all women’s-produced After Dark shows: @thehouseshow.urn@emounmaskedurn and @city.soundcheck_urn spotlighting empowering female artists.
Thank you to Eve, Lil and all the SASS team for allowing us to collaborate with them on this important project and to all the URN members who helped across the night, presenting and producing in such a professional manner 💜

Tonight we are very excited to announce that our schedules will be extending all night long for the big After Dark All Nighter!!
Starting at 7pm this evening and leading straight into the beginning of the usual broadcast at 9am tomorrow morning, the After Dark crew have put together a jam-packed schedule of DJ showcases, artist spotlights and some very delirious early morning talk shows!
