#NYGirlsREMIX‼️🔥🔥 FRENCH MONTANA x CHRONIC LAW x CJTHECHEMIST 🇯🇲 🇺🇸
The NY Girls (Remix) brings together two worlds and two heavyweights — Chronic Law, the voice of dancehall’s new generation, and French Montana, one of hip-hop’s most globally recognized hitmakers. Under the masterful production of CJTheChemist, this remix transforms the original record into a cross-border anthem built for 2025. Chronic Law delivers his signature intRiddimtive grit, bringing depth and storytelling to the riddim, while French Montana slides in with effortless swagger, bridging the Caribbean and the Bronx with a flow that feels both familiar and fresh. CJTheChemist’s production is the glue — crisp drums, hypnotic melodies, and that unmistakable NY x JA fusion that gives the track instant replay power. Shaggy’s new album, Lottery, takes its title from a personal philosophy that has guided his career: always bet on yourself. That outlook has meant repeatedly taking creative and professional risks, even when the odds were against him, a mindset that has yielded not just a single hit, but a three-decade run of global success. The result is a catalog that moves freely between reggae and dancehall, pop, and R&B, shaped by what Shaggy has long described as his role as the king of hybrid music.
Largely self-produced alongside longtime collaborator Shane Hoosong, the album’s 13 songs build on that foundation. Rather than anchoring himself to a single genre, Shaggy, managed by Martin Kierszenbaum/Cherrytree Music Company, continues to refine a sound rooted in Jamaican music traditions while remaining open to global influences and contemporary production. That hybridity, often questioned early in his career, remains central to both his identity and longevity.

Wilburn “Squidly” Cole is a world renowned reggae musician hailing from the Trenchtown section of Kingston, Jamaica. In 1980, Squidly made his debut in the reggae music business at the young age of 13 when he played his first hit song ‘Black Black Roses’ with Barrington Levy for Channel One Studio. By age 14, Earl “Chinna” Smith arranged an audition between Squidly and famed reggae Artist, Jimmy Cliff, resulting in a world tour with Jimmy Cliff and the Oneness band to Europe and Africa. Squidly credits his mother, Pauline Shaw and father, Stranger Cole, a pioneering force in reggae music for helping to shape his musical career at such an early age. Squidly has had a successful career as a singer, songwriter, producer, and drummer. For many years, he has been well known for his musical association with the Marley family.
In 2025, Squidly partnered with NY based DubShot Records to focus on new productions with artists like Mrtinez and Kenny Vanella, and is now officially releasing songs from his 100StudioJA archives. The first of release “Thru the Years: Reggae Dancehall” released May, 15th 2026. The compilation focuses on a specific period in the progression of reggae to dancehall when live drums were being replaced by digital drum machines, samples, and synthesizers. The result is a 9 tracks album that acts as a snap shot into this crucial time in the evolution of reggae and dancehall. In addition to hitmakers of the time, the set also features family members Stranger Cole and uncle Tabby Diamond of the famous Mighty Diamonds.
