Mixing a new @zionikings instrumental #dub album ⚡️tune called Cosmic Farmer Dub featuring musicians @jahdavid777 @lone_ark @lamont_monty_savory @jah_kiels @fluteyzoe @nattykeyz and I 🙏🏽 My process for each dub is 2 or 3 live takes. Then I choose my favorite and edit, since every move my hands make on the faderfox midi controllers (mixing board) are automation lines in @ableton . I blend analog fx like @audio_merge KTBK filter and @fulltoneusa tube tape delay with all kinds of plugins - my favorites being @soundtoys @fabfilter_plugins @audiothing @arturia_official . Laurent “Tippy I” Alfred has long held a unique place in modern roots and dub music. As the co-founder of the renowned I Grade Records from St. Croix, Virgin Islands, he has left a deep mark on reggae through his work with legendary artists such as Midnite, the unforgettable Vaughn Benjamin, and through collaborations with names like Pressure, Lutan Fyah, Dezarie, Marcus Gad, Micah Shemaiah and Protoje. His signature goes far beyond studio production.
