Fourteen years ago, @salcaran.music and I started recording some of the most extraordinary places in Italy.
Back then we made two Kontakt libraries, but the idea was always bigger than that.
Now, after a very long detour, we are finally turning those places into the plugin we had in mind from the beginning.
Last week we brought it to @superbooth_berlin for the first time!

Having fun with @audiothing Fields Beta , a feature rich IOS Field Recording app, I especially enjoy the ability to add a Photo to the recording to keep the memory of the moment, I so have so many field recordings and have no discipline when it comes to naming conventions that I end up trawling through SD cards with vague recollections of what and when it was taken.

This is our new plugin OCTAVES. It’s an emulation and more of a classic test equipment music filter, the Brüel & Kjaer 1613 passive Bandpass Filter. Available on iOS/VST/CLAP/AU//AAX.

Here is a little ditty inspired by their work, made on the @moogsynthesizers Muse and my plugins Octaves, B00GA and Wires with @audiothing . I am only using the INIT preset on the muse and shape the sound with the plugins. #ambient #synthesizer
Is it an effect? Is it an instrument? As so often with plugins @audiothing an me devise, why not both? Use Octaves, our new bandpass filter plugin to tear sounds apart spectrally. We originally made it as an effect in B00GA. Many of you asked for a standalone version, and we thought it would be easy. It was not. Half a year later, after a lot of fine tuning and a few extra features, including “Filter Bank” mode, it is finally here.
