I am truly excited and deeply honored to create an artwork for the centennial ceremony of Count Ossie — the legendary Jamaican Rastafari master drummer and band leader. The ceremony will take place in Kingston Jamaica on March 26, celebrating 100 years since the birth of this extraordinary musical and spiritual figure.
This opportunity means a great deal to me personally. Count Ossie’s music, spirit, and cultural legacy have been a powerful inspiration, and being able to contribute an artwork in his honor feels both humbling and deeply meaningful. His influence on Rastafari culture and Jamaican music continues to resonate across generations, and I feel grateful to play a small part in celebrating his life and legacy through my work.
