UK Power Networks have published revised technical guidance for 5kW charge points to be installed in lamp posts.
They worked with the UK’s largest public charge point operator, Shell ubitricity to undertake technical assessments, and have now updated their technical guidance to provide confidence to the energy industry to deliver a large-scale roll-out of lamp post charging.

The UK's first carbon capture pilot on an energy from waste facility has gone live in Yorkshire.
The pilot project at enfinium's Ferrybridge site is capturing one tonne of CO2 each day, running for at least 12 months.
"CCS is also critical to generating carbon removals at scale so the UK can achieve Net Zero. The Energy Learning Network a new £1.5 million partnership to power forward community energy projects across the UK has been launched.
It will deliver free insights, resources, and connections to existing community energy groups, as well as other community groups looking to become involved in local energy projects for the first time.
The new network is a collaboration between climate solutions charity Ashden, the Centre for Sustainable Energy, and leading community energy bodies in every UK nation: Community Energy England, Community Energy Scotland, Community Energy Wales, and Northern Ireland’s Action Renewables.

According to the latest data from @mcs_certified the UK has now reached 250,000 all-time certified heat pump installations.
More than 30,000 certified heat pumps were installed in homes and small businesses across the UK between January to July 2024, taking the cumulative number over the quarter of a million mark.

@warwickshireccc has become the first professional cricket club in the country to operate an all-electric fleet of grounds equipment to maintain its pitches.
@dennismowers are supplying a range of 10 battery-powered lawnmowers for which will save the club around £4,500per year in fuel costs and reduce its CO2 emissions by more than seven tonnes annually.
This is part of Warwickshire's Edgbaston for Sustainability pledge and ambition to make the stadium net zero by 2030.

The UK Infrastructure Bank has provided West Suffolk Council with a £17 million lending facility to deliver a number of net zero projects.
