It was a pleasure to welcome Ben Lake MP to the Biosphere on Monday. Here he is (right) with citizen science volunteers from Scream and Streams, before a meeting with community groups about the future of Ynyslas.

Today, 8th May 2025, we join the rest of the UK and colleagues around the world in commemorating the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day. In honour of all of those that served, and the VE Day generation, we've created a short blog highlighting just a tiny selection of the myriad stories connecting the end of WWII in Europe to UNESCO designations, inscriptions and notable figures. Heritage was very much open in @newlanark New Lanark World Heritage Site yesterday as coordinators from @unesco designations across Scotland came together for a workshop as part of our #LocaltoGlobal project.
