Today was our very first Swim for Well-being session, and what a fantastic start it was! 🌊💚
A huge well done to Alison who, despite insisting she couldn’t swim, bravely got in the water with our director Natalie — and went on to swim an incredible 400m… that’s 20 lengths! 👏🏊♀️
Inspired by today’s achievement, Alison has now signed up for the Riv-a-thon challenge — a brilliant joint initiative between @northdevonbiosphere@smartswimcentre and @sap_cic , where swimmers challenge themselves to swim the length of the River Mole over the course of 2026.
We’re so proud of you, Alison — proof that sometimes the biggest challenge is simply taking the first step (or first splash!).
