The second cohort of learners has completed their skilling classes and received start-up kits to help them turn challenges into opportunities.
Vocational skills do more than build livelihoods - they address root causes of violence against women and girls, including economic exclusion and unequal access to resources. Investing in youth is investing in safer communities. 💪

As we conclude today’s Joint Graduation Ceremony, we celebrate the resilience, creativity, and determination of these young women as they step confidently into employment, entrepreneurship, and brighter futures.

The 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭-𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐣𝐚 (𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭, supported by the Republic of Korea @MOFAkr_eng through @KoicaUganda , and implemented by @UNDP and the @GovUganda through the Ministry of Karamoja Affairs, has reached 20,000+ individuals! 🇺🇬🤝🇰🇷

Skills are one of the most direct routes out of economic vulnerability for young women in Uganda. Skills connected to markets, to enterprise pathways, to communities that sustain momentum long after the training ends.
This Friday 15 May, we mark what that looks like in practice.
Our Creative Business Academy, together with @digitalwomanuganda and @smartgirlsug , invites you to the Joint Graduation Ceremony of learners from the Spotlight Initiative Gender for Development Programme; a programme funded by @euinuganda , @kingdom_of_the_netherlands , and @undp_uganda , with support from the @mglsd_ug , and @kccaug with a mandate to eliminate violence against women and girls through economic empowerment.
The graduates crossing that stage have spent months building professional identities, peer networks, and a clear sense of what they are moving toward. Come celebrate with them.
