I remember meeting with @smartmoneyarese in April of 2022 to come on board the second season of the show as a story editor.
I was so pumped to be on the show. I recall one of the first things I told Arese is that we need to do more with Banke in the second season.
Cos she was just too fun a character to relegate to the sideline.
Banke was and is still my favorite character on the show thanks to the powerhouse that is @ekuedewor

However as soon as we started work on it, it became clear that I was out of my depth. For one, all of Arese’s financial lingo in earlier drafts of the scripts wanted to do my head in.
And then there was all that fashion talk for Tami's character. I mean I'm the guy who believes a good denim shirt is peak fashion. And no, working on smart money hasn't changed that.😂
Then we had the month long workshop in Lekki alongside our brilliant story consultants and writers…
During those workshops there were days the stories flowed out of us with ease and other days where all we had to go by was blank stares cos we had plotted ourselves into a wall.
Other days were filled with creative differences with which direction to take a character. Which earned me the nicknames “hater”and “nemesis”.
Blink twice Isoken if you're not guilty. Too late. The jury is out, guilty as sin.😂
It's been great to see the love and sometimes vitriol aimed at the characters. The Tsola haters from episode 8. You know yourselves.
