The first version of this story was born in my mind in 2017 inspired by true life events 😂, I’d shelved it but last year the guys @showmaxnaija tapped me and this show was born. @isokenogiemwonyi help me put together an amazing writers room of myself, @manniethestar@the_nengiyouheardabout_@prince_ol@nicolechikwe and herself and we wrote a hell of a show! What a risk! The risk that keeps paying off. My production company @urbangidi marked 5 years of structured business as a production company last week. Although registered 10 years ago, I was only a freelancer and never really structured the business till March 2021 after Covid disrupted the media service business.
Since then we built a company of our dreams and I couldn’t be prouder of all we have achieved. Hundreds of commercials and corporate videos, a digital network @madeauxafrica , award winning podcasts and over 50 episodes of scripted television. It’s not always been the easiest but I remain thankful. Proud of the fact that even when it didn’t seem feasible, we’ve paid salaries for the last 60 months without missing any. Thankful for all the employees and talent from inception till date who have given their time, talent and resources. The clients that have trusted us to execute.
As I personally mark my 10th year in the media business this year, I am filled with Joy, enthusiasm and the greatest confidence of what the next decade looks like for us and our ecosystem as a whole. Urbangidi to the world! #urbangidi #media
