BTS from production @thefoundertvshow . During pre-production planning for the show I had a few people ask me if it was wise for me to EP, be the showrunner and also act in the show. To be honest, I was actually really concerned. Because not only is it my first project as an EP and showrunner, it’s also the first time in a while I have done an acting project to this capacity. I was on some serious adrenaline the whole shoot. But I also had an amazing team!! Shout out to @nicole_ofoegbu for being an exceptional producer!! I think this is the first time I told myself I would think outloud more than internally. I am always big on solving the problem then sharing but this time I ensured I shared more than not and wow the difference it made. Team work makes the dream work. I spent quite of bit of this year and last year in acting classes, I had done a few tv and movie projects in the past but didn’t really feel ready or well equipped to do more. Acting is very intense. It’s an amazing art form and I really enjoyed going to the foundation to understand different techniques. Here is short monologue I wrote 🙏🏾🙏🏾 this one really pulled me in. Wowwwww!! What an experience. We had Focus Group Test Screening for @thefoundertvshow
with small group of people to review two versions of Episode 1. When I told the team I was gonna do this, there was skepticism because we are still doing finishing touches on the edits, what we showed this group was a raw edit but enough to where they would get the vision of the show. I am so happy we did it. It wassssss such a beautiful experience. Very nerve racking to be honest, when you have been working on something and it’s art and you are getting feedback that can feel intimidating. But I am thankful. It’s coming soooonnnn 🥹 a huge thank you to @filmhousecube_ for hosting us at Sabor! Such a beautiful space and wonderful customer service as well.

My mommy came to see me. I remember asking myself when was the last time I actually sat in her lap. Can’t remember because as per I’m an adult now 😭😭 Anyways, I sat in her lap and it healed something in me. This felt like a deep hug I needed. Being an adult is ALOTTT! like it’s a journey. One that can feel extremely daunting. And it’s part of the human experience. But I don’t take my support system for granted and oh what greater love than a mother’s love. I cherish the days I spend with my parents because they are precious. If your parents are still on earth side - love on them, call them, spend time with them 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 #family
CLOSED. I am sooooo excited! We are making amazing progress but I need yalls help on our post- production. We have two edits for our Episode 1 of @thefoundertvshow and instead of trying figure out in a small cocoon which one to go with, we are said let’s test it. These are raw versions but will help us know which ones work.
