My evening as a guest with Invest Africa & the UK Dept for Business & Trade. 🇳🇬🇬🇧
The evening was a standout moment for me. I attended as a guest at a private dinner that brought together leaders shaping the UK–Nigeria relationship, across fashion, design, arts, media, sports, tech, and finance. It was energising to see our shared creativity and enterprise touted as the driving force behind cross‑border momentum.
I was honoured to share the evening with H.E. Hannatu Musa Musawa, Nigeria’s Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy,
@honhannatumusawa , our Guest of Honour, celebrating the creativity, innovation, and ambition fueling trade and investment between our two nations.
A privilege to hear from an amazing lineup of speakers:
Efe Obada (NFL UK Ambassador)

Katy Wickremisinghe (Founder, KTW Consulting)
@misskatywick
Martins Imhangbe (Actor & Producer)

Misan Harriman (Chair of Southbank Centre & Photographer)

Tolu Coker (Fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist.)

Zezi Ifore (Contributing Editor, British Vogue)

The evening felt so special — The Nigerian Entertainment industry has been the focus of my creative contributions since 2010. This evening reinforced the enormous possibilities we have when we bring our collective talent, both at home and in the diaspora. I had a meaningful conversation with the Honourable Commissioner about the immediate needs of Nigerian filmmakers, and how we can maximise our talent and growth from Nigeria to the world. I left inspired and eager for what’s next, with more collaborations on the horizon.
