I’ve spent the last five years producing films (and commercials but this is a film post) collaborating with incredible talents to showcase the best of Nigerian cinema. If you’re surprised to hear this, that’s precisely why I’m writing. Film is a deeply collaborative art, and in Nigeria, the role of a producer is crucial to a production’s success. As a producer and creative producer, I not only manage production logistics but also creatively supervise projects to ensure the film’s vision comes to life. I’ve invested countless resources, connections, and even personal belongings, along with sleepless nights, to help create remarkable projects. If you’ve seen any of my films, you may have noticed a recurring theme: they look stunning. As Keats famously said, “A thing of beauty is a joy forever.” This philosophy drives me to invest heavily in the visual aspects of storytelling—locations, production design, costumes, hair, and makeup are paramount. In 2024, I celebrated significant professional milestones, and it’s time to acknowledge my achievements! Each project required months of preparation, leading teams to ensure scenes were shot, actors delivered, and crews were supported. Films produced/ coproduced by EKU EDEWOR - 2021- ‘Superstar’ and ‘Charge and Ball’ - 2022- ‘A Perfect Arrangement’ 2024 - 2023 -‘Breath of Life’ - 2024- ‘When Love Strikes’ - 2024- ‘Christmas in Lagos’ Notably this year ‘Breath of Life’ won Best Film at the Africa Magic Viewer Choice awards, a category that underscores the importance of producers in the filmmaking process. In Nigeria, we often go unrecognized in discussions about film ownership, so if you see “co-produced” or “produced by” in the credits, give that person a hug and a handshake next time you meet them. Well... 2024…have I not entertained you? I’m not even including my performances or all the style moments I share! I’ve tried na?! I’ve accomplished phenomenal things over these past five years, and I’m incredibly proud. Thank you to all my supporters, collaborators and partners. Thank you God for your Grace 🙏🏽 💐💐💐 #thankful #thankfulgratefulblessed

Proud is an understatement, when I was first doing red carpets, Tiwa was dropping her first single in Nigeria. Then I was at every music event covering their carpets and Tiwa and many artists were also working the same events so we spent a lot of time together. I always admired her confidence, drive and ambition and so I’m not surprised she’s been able to give back in a such an exceptional way and I’m thankful I can show and support in my small way and donate towards scholarships and courses for our children who wish to follow their musical dreams. 💙 Photographer: @vickotimzphotography

My evening as a guest with Invest Africa & the UK Dept for Business & Trade. 🇳🇬🇬🇧 The evening was a standout moment for me. I attended as a guest at a private dinner that brought together leaders shaping the UK–Nigeria relationship, across fashion, design, arts, media, sports, tech, and finance. It was energising to see our shared creativity and enterprise touted as the driving force behind cross‑border momentum. I was honoured to share the evening with H.E. Hannatu Musa Musawa, Nigeria’s Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, @honhannatumusawa , our Guest of Honour, celebrating the creativity, innovation, and ambition fueling trade and investment between our two nations. A privilege to hear from an amazing lineup of speakers: Efe Obada (NFL UK Ambassador)@efeobadauk Katy Wickremisinghe (Founder, KTW Consulting) @misskatywick Martins Imhangbe (Actor & Producer) @martinsimhangbe Misan Harriman (Chair of Southbank Centre & Photographer) @misanharriman Tolu Coker (Fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist.) @tolucoker Zezi Ifore (Contributing Editor, British Vogue) @zeziifore The evening felt so special — The Nigerian Entertainment industry has been the focus of my creative contributions since 2010. This evening reinforced the enormous possibilities we have when we bring our collective talent, both at home and in the diaspora. I had a meaningful conversation with the Honourable Commissioner about the immediate needs of Nigerian filmmakers, and how we can maximise our talent and growth from Nigeria to the world. I left inspired and eager for what’s next, with more collaborations on the horizon. Dress: @bankekuku #UKNigeria #CreativeEconomy #nigeriaeverywhere #InvestAfrica
