Art making, at least to me, is all about showing up and giving it a go. It’s never a given that I’ll be able to make anything good or even half-decent. Most of the time I don’t even know what is it that I’m trying to get to. But that’s not really the point. My main goal and focus is to be able to carve out some of that “me” time each day and make stuff. Be it a painting, a collage, a doodle drawing or whatever else….
Making art and creating something new is extremely liberating and I am truly grateful to be able to do that on my own accord.

Camera closeups capture an ecstasy you’ll recall if you’ve ever been pushed towards shore on a dancing breaker when bodysurfing or dropped in nearly too late, overhead on a low tide, then blessed on through against most odds. That too is fun. This is the rush that we can’t describe well enough to measure that singular thrill, as the physical feat wordlessly informs your soul that you have achieved a sanctified union with nature.
