Remembering Maya Ortiz 🤍
Maya meant so much to all of us. She was a thoughtful leader, a bright presence, and a friend to all. Her kindness, confidence, and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
We are keeping Maya’s family, friends, and loved ones in our thoughts. We will always remember the light she shared with others. She will forever be part of the MAPS family.
Rest in peace, Maya.
UMass Chan’s chapter of the Student National Medical Association hosted 38 undergraduate premedical students from UMass Amherst on Saturday for MAPS (Minority Association of Premedical Students) Day.
Activities included a school tour; an anatomy lab experience led by Alexandra Wink, PhD, and Jenna Watson, PhD; a neurology case study; a panel discussion and a mixer.
