Untitled is a continuation of .WEST Studio design language that challenges the traditional use of light in nightlife spaces. Fixtures are placed hidden behind sheets of plastic covering the entire room, highlighting the main piece suspended above the stage. Both the performer and the crowds become just shadows as the plastic reflects the light across the space.

Founded in 2015 in Berlin, GEWALT operates within the genres of industrial, post-punk, and new wave, often described as German Wut Wave.
Minor Crime is a hallucinogenic mix of darkwave, synth-punk, and neo-psych, recklessly fused with an arsenal of synths, samples, and sequencers.

UIUI fest brengt deze double bill het Berlijnse GEWALT en Minor Crime samen. GEWALT werd opgericht in 2015 en beweegt zich binnen industrial, post-punk en new wave, ook wel aangeduid als German Wut Wave. De band staat live bekend om een intense, fysieke ervaring en speelde inmiddels zoβn 200 shows door heel Europa en de Verenigde Staten, met optredens op festivals als ESNS en SXSW en shows met onder anderen Jack White. Minor Crime is het soloproject van de Nieuw-Zeelandse producer David Tomlinson, sinds 2014 gevestigd in Amsterdam, waar hij schrijft en opneemt. Zijn liveshows combineren darkwave, synth-punk en neo-psych met synths, samples en sequencers. In april verschijnt zijn debuutalbum Inhumane Bandwidth via het Haarlemse label Geertruida.

Eind november vond alweer de derde editie van UIUI FEST plaats, een punky, noisy, wave festival georganiseerd door Geertruida en Hidden Agenda. Het festival nam ons hele pand over en vulde alle ruimtes met harde muziek en goede sfeer. Op de line up kwamen Real Farmer, badtime, Hondenfokker, My Purse, Crush of Souls, Parole e Azioni, Jena Jang en Das Ixylum voorbij. Wij hebben in ieder geval nu alweer zin in de volgende editie!
