Album Release: Shamans in Space - Guarani & Kaiowá elders feat. Matt Black, Youth, Tymon Dogg and Kelvin Mbaretê is out now on limited edition vinyl release for #RecordStoreDay.
This groundbreaking musical collaboration brings the ancestral traditions of Guarani and Kaiowá sonic shamanism into dialogue with pioneers of global electronic music culture, including:
@youthmartin - legendary artist and producer of major cultural icons including
@pinkfloyd , the Verve, and long-time musical partner of
@paulmccartney ’s experimental electronic project The Fireman;
@mattblackninja (
@coldcutofficial /
@ninjatune ) whose visionary approach to sampling and audiovisual interaction changed the shape of electronic performance; Tymon Dogg - multi-instrumentalist who has played alongside The Clash;
@kelvinmbarete : Indigenous rap pioneer and founding member of
@bromcsoficial , whose 2025 album with
@alok was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
The project was guided by a radically collaborative approach which sets a new standard for cross-cultural partnerships. Each track was reviewed by the elders and given a Guarani name. The result is a genuine partnership, co-created by the combined sonic histories of Indigenous communities and UK electronic musicians.
I am sincerely grateful to Youth and Matt Black for contributing their time and creative energy into the project. All artist royalties will be donated to the Guarani and Kaiowá communities, supporting the elders to preserve these traditions for future generations.
